Tasha personally works with each client to make their dreams come to life on that big day, earning her reputation for providing outstanding and beautiful wedding celebrations in Fort Worth delivered with utmost competence and creativity. About Tasha LucasTasha Lucas has always been a mix of artsy and analytical. From early childhood, it was apparent that she enjoyed designing and crafting. However, when school started, it also became apparent that she had skills in other areas, including math and science. She incorporated her vast array of skills in a variety of ways. She showcased her artsy side when decorating her room and making custom binders for her classes, while she used her systematic skills to keep up with her finances. Even at a young age, Tasha was good with money and budgeting. Tasha attended Southlake Carroll High School and enjoyed her time as a Dragon. She participated in band and enjoyed the challenges of her math and science classes. She volunteered after school at the local elementary school, helping teachers design bulletin boards, plan art projects for the children, etc. She was also highly involved in her favorite sport, ice hockey. She played for prestigious girls’ teams and organizations and also participated in the boys’ hockey leagues for her high school as well as at local rinks. She always enjoyed playing a sport with all boys while remaining just as “girly” as ever. She graduated from Carroll with honors, and headed off to Baylor University to study to become a Biomedical Engineer. Boy, how things changed! When she realized that she wanted to start her own business someday, she decided to drop the expensive school and go for a management and marketing degree at a community college. She laughs and tells people that she went backwards; she started at a prestigious 4-year university with her 4.0 average and ended up at a local two-year school with an associate’s degree, still maintaining her 4.0 average, of course! During college, she picked up a job doing the marketing for a construction company in Fort Worth, Texas. There, she designed and constructed the website and designed postcards, brochures, catalogs, business cards, etc. When the company grew the need for a sales manager, she grew to fit the position, taking on responsibility to also design and sell backyard constructions like outdoor kitchens, patios, pools, etc. When the company she had worked for decided to shut its doors, Tasha was left with a few decisions to make. In an economy where available jobs were scarce, she decided to take advantage of her situation and start her own general contracting firm. She purchased the website that she put so many hours into and put it to work generating clients for her own business. She found herself as one of the few women in a men-dominated industry, bringing back memories of her years playing ice hockey. Although her small business was successful, she was left with the feeling that she was meant to do something different, something more “Tasha.” After an encounter with a wedding planner, her mind started running. She found that the skills that made her successful as a general contractor (negotiation, design, execution, coordination, communication, etc.) could also be put to use as a wedding planner. So, she made it her goal to transform her career from construction diva to event coordinator. “I have always loved the wedding ritual, the thrill of a new beginning for the couple as they start the journey of their life together,” Tasha said, “which is part of the reason why the move to wedding planner was so easy and enjoyable for me.” Now, as it stands, Tasha enjoys planning events, especially weddings. And, she is engaged, which gives her the opportunity to be on both sides of the wedding planning process, bride and partial planner. Of course, she has hired on a planner to help, as she knows the importance of having a planner when it comes to wedding day stress on the bride. She has enjoyed the chance to compare her wedding from a bride’s perspective as well as a planner’s. Tasha says, “I believe a wedding is not simply a performance, but a celebration of important human emotions, such as love, joy, gratitude, generosity, friendship, loyalty, trust and spirituality. It is such an honor and privilege for me to share these rites of passage with my clients.” Tasha's CredentialsYears as a construction company manager and owner allowed Tasha to hone her natural communication, planning, organization, management, design, and customer service skills. Now, as she embarks on a different path of business ownership, Tasha is committed to providing the best service possible for her Fort Worth brides. You can depend on Tasha to always exhibit the following characteristics and personal values. Our SpecialtiesLevels of Service and Pricingt.renee / wedding planner is actually proud to admit that we do not plan weddings by ourselves. We seek much input from the bride and mother. After all, it isn’t our wedding, and let’s face it, some of the wedding planning is fun! We allow you to have the fun involved in planning without having to do the legwork. For that reason, we do not offer full wedding planning services. We will not completely plan your wedding for you. Instead, we offer comprehensive services to help the bride pull together her dream wedding! We will take however much of the planning process off of your hands that you wish to hand off, and keep you completely involved with as many details as you wish for your big day! We only offer two basic wedding planning packages. Our classic planning package includes full planning services, from initial budget consultation to vendor selection help to hotel accommodation. We are involved however much you want us to be. Some of the little things that our brides find a big help include budget help, negotiations, going over contracts, sharing suggestions, and of course, helping the day-of to run smoothly. We also offer the day-of package. However, we do urge you to consider that it really should be called the “month-of” package. We help minutely up front with a list of reputable vendors that we have worked with in the past and that can fit within your budget, then catch up at the end by familiarizing ourselves with your chosen vendors and details, creating a day-of timeline for them so that all goes well on your magical day. Because each wedding is distinctly different, our pricing varies per client. Please contact us for a custom price. Other services include invitation and print design and management, wedding website design and maintenance, and hourly consultation. Also, we don’t just do weddings! We can also help with other parts of the wedding and beyond, at such events as: |
